Welcome

test3
Aikido is a very effective martial art, which relies on natural movements rather than brute strength, which makes it an ideal form of self defence for men and woman of all ages and sizes.

At New Forest Aikido based in Ringwood, Hampshire, we study the Iwama style of Aikido. The training is focused on the coordination of body movement and breathing, as well as the importance and impact of body physics.

Led by Sensei Peter Reynolds (5th Dan) and Sensei Terry Young (2nd Dan) you will find classes are set in a relaxed, friendly and informal environment. Why not come and visit us and see for yourself the benefits of Iwama Aikido and within weeks you will find improvements in your stability, mobility, endurance and strength.

Here are two examples of techniques we teach Kotegaeshi and Juji Nage as well as one of the weapon movements the 13 Kata.

IMPORTANT NOTE

Unfortunately as the sports hall is being refurbished there will be no classes between 20th July and 11th August.
